This month it has been confirmed to launch at least five cars in the Indian market, which are in various segments.
5 Cars to be Launched in April 2021
The Indian automobile industry is now back on track after recovering from the health crisis and has seen good car sales growth these days. In March 2021, most manufacturers achieved a three-digit sales increase, enough to indicate that buyers were interested in purchasing cars. Five cars have been confirmed for launch in the country this month. Here is the list of all the cars to be launched in India this month; take a look –
1. Citroen C5 Aircross
The French automaker Citron is fully ready for its first offering in the Indian market. Its first SUV in India, the Citron C5 Aircross, will compete with cars such as the Jeep Compass and Hyundai Tucson. The C5 Aircross will be launched in India on 7 April. We expect it to be priced around Rs 30 lakh (ex-showroom).
The only 2.0-litre diesel engine to get power to the C5 Aircross will be the one that produces a maximum power of 177 PS with a peak torque of 400 Nm. As a feature, the car has got a panoramic sunroof, hands-free tailgate opening, 8.0-inch touchscreen system with smartphone connectivity, 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster, hands-free parking, powered driver seat, dual-zone auto climate control.
2. Hyundai Alcazar (Hyundai Alcazar)
Hyundai Alcazar is the upcoming three-line edition of the Creta and will make its global debut in India on 7 April. After this, the car can be launched in the Indian market at any time. In India, this three-row SUV will compete with cars like Tata Safari and MG Hector Plus. In the company’s lineup, Alcazar will be positioned above its younger brother Creta.
According to a report, Alcazar will get a 2.0-litre petrol engine, which also performs duty in Tucson and Atlanta. This engine generates 150 PS of power and 192 Nm of torque. And is offered with 6-speed MT and 6-speed AT. Apart from this, there will be a diesel powertrain with the car, while the 1.4-litre turbo petrol engine of the Creta can also be offered.
3. BS6 Isuzu D-Max V-Cross
The Isuzu D-Max V-Cross has not yet been upgraded to comply with BS6 emission norms. And was therefore discontinued in the Indian market early last year. Still, now the Japanese carmaker is only in India this month. I am ready to launch the BS6 edition of this pickup truck.
The BS6 Isuzu D-Max V-Cross will likely be offered with a 1.9-litre four-cylinder diesel engine that produced 150 PS of power and 350 Nm of peak torque BS4 model. The BS6 model will likely retain the BS4’s power output, while the engine is expected to have a 6-speed manual transmission and 6-speed AT.
4. BMW 6 Series GT facelift
BMW has confirmed that the 6 Series GT facelift is fully ready to launch in the Indian market on 8 April 2021. This new car will compete with the recently updated Mercedes E-Class and see its fresh style in India. The car is expected to offer more equipment than the current model.
The 2.0-litre four-pot petrol and diesel and 3.0-litre six-cylinder diesel engine are expected to be retained with the new model, standard with an 8-speed auto gearbox. In the feature, the car will get a 12.3-inch touchscreen infotainment system. Digital instrument cluster, rear-seat entertainment screen, 360-degree camera, 4-zone climate control, electrically adjustable seats and panoramic sunroof, etc.
5. Volkswagen Tiguan facelift Cars
Volkswagen is all set to relaunch the Tiguan in India and will now be offered in a facelifted avatar. The Tiguan facelift has recently been unveiled and is expected to be launched this month. It will be equipped with a 2.0-litre TSI engine. And this engine generates 190 PS of power and 320 Nm of torque, with a 7-speed DSG as standard.
The new car will also be offered with the 4MOTION all-wheel-drive system. And will compete with cars like the Hyundai Tucson. And Jeep Compass, which are expected to be priced between Rs 26 lakh to Rs 29 lakh. As features, it is expected to get a panoramic sunroof, leather seat, ambient lighting, Android Auto and 8.0-inch touchscreen infotainment system with Apple CarPlay, connected car tech, three-zone climate control and more.
