Hyundai Custo MPV: After introducing the futuristic-looking Staria MPV earlier this year, Hyundai is set to launch a new multi-purpose vehicle. A new MPV named Custo will be presented in the coming days. Ahead of the official launch, Hyundai has shared a few pictures with the MPV to explain its size and design elements.
Hyundai Custo MPV Teaser
The Hyundai Custo is smaller than the Staria MPV, which debuted in April this year. The Custo MPV measures 4,950 mm in length, 1,850 mm in width and 1,734 mm in height. At first glance, the design of the Hyundai Custo MPV seems to be inspired by the new generation Tucson SUV. It looks great from the front. The Custo MPV uses a similar looking grille with daytime running lights and slim LED headlights.
How is the Custo MPV in terms of looks?
Unlike the recent Hyundai designs, the Custo MPV doesn’t get that many side creases. However, the alignment of the door handles indicates that it may feature the same technology as the Kia Carnival MPV. The Custo also gets the signature LED lighting at the rear and is made of a very slim C-shaped design attached to a horizontal bar.
What will be exceptional in the interior of Custo MPV
No details have been revealed about its interior yet, but it can be assumed that it will have a configuration of 6 or seven seats in three rows of seats. According to China’s Ministry of Industry and Information Technology (MIIT), the Hyundai Custo will generate a maximum power of around 170 horsepower with the 1.5-litre petrol engine and up to 236 hp 2.0-litre engine. The Custo MPV is expected to be essentially front-wheel drive to keep it more affordable.
When will the Custo MPV be launched in India?
Hyundai will launch the Custo MPV only for the Chinese markets as of now. It has not disclosed any plans as to when it will be brought to other Asian countries.
