Last month, Tata Nexon recorded its highest monthly sales figures, becoming the third best-selling compact SUV in India.

Tata Motors sold 29,655 units in March 2021 as against 5,676 units in the same period last year. In this way, the company has seen a massive increase of 422 per cent in its sales annually. Tata sales were also up 9 per cent monthly compared to February 2021. With Tata Motors emerging as the third-largest carmaker in the country in March 2021.

Tata Nexon Surpasses Kia Sonet

Its flagship compact SUV has contributed the most to its sale. And sold 8,683 units in March 2021, its highest ever. That is to say, Nexon had not sold so many teams before it. Its sales also grew 228 per cent year-on-year, as it sold only 2,646 units in 2020 during the same month.

Apart from this, Tata Nexon also registered a 10 per cent increase in sales compared to February 2021, as 8,683 units were sold in the period. Tata Motors launched Nexon in 2017, its highest monthly sales ever since. In March 2021, 11,274 units of Maruti Vitara Brezza and 10,722 Hyundai Venue units have been sold.

Interestingly, a total of 8,498 units of the Kia Sonnet have been sold in the last month, finishing fourth on the list. In this way, Nexon managed to beat Kia Sonnet for the first time and finish third, which is also a danger signal for Kia Motors. Tata Nexon is currently available in the Indian market with two engine options: a 1.2-litre, inline-3, turbocharged petrol engine that produces 120 PS of power and 170 Nm of torque; the second is a 1.5-litre inline. -4 is a turbocharged diesel engine, which generates 110 PS of power and 260 Nm of torque. A 6-speed manual gearbox and 6-speed AMT are available with both powertrains.

The petrol variants of Tata Nexon have priced from Rs 7.09 lakh to Rs 10.86 lakh. And diesel variants are priced from Rs 8.45 lakh to 12.19 lakh. Nexon also has a Pure Electric Edition, India’s best-selling electric SUV. This EV price is 13.99 Lakh to 16.40 Lakh (All prices ex-showroom, New Delhi). The Nexon EV has a driving range of up to 312 km.
