Tesla Model 3 India launch: Electric car maker Tesla is about to enter India. In such a situation, the dispute regarding import tax has been resolved, but the problems for the company are still taking the name of not lessening. Now in the middle of the vehicle’s launch, the speed breaker of Indian roads has arrived.
Tesla Model 3 was the company’s first model ready for sale in India, but now questions are being raised about its ground clearance. Its ground clearance is not that good according to Indian roads, which can cause problems for the vehicle.
Tesla Model 3 India launch
The ground clearance of the Tesla Model 3 has been in talks for a long time. In such a situation, the company was also informed that there are many speed breakers on Indian roads whose height is very high. In such a situation, vehicles with low ground clearance face a lot of problems.
Let us tell you that the biggest bottleneck for the Tesla Model 3 is the speed breakers at the moment. For this, the vehicle’s ground clearance will have to be increased by at least 25 mm. Model 3 will be launched first; then Tesla will launch Model Y in the year 2022. The ground clearance of the Tesla Model 3 electric sedan is 140mm. In such a situation, there can be a problem with this on Indian roads. The thing to note here is that the Tesla Model 3 rides on a coil spring. And it cannot be adjusted for ground clearance.
Sources have revealed that the Indian Arm of IDIADA Automotive Technology is responsible for testing Model 3. In such a situation, he said that the car passed through 160 to 200-speed breakers where he had to face problems. In such a situation, the vehicle has been recommended for re-engineering so that its ground clearance can be increased from 25mm to 165mm.
Let us tell you that now all the electric vehicles coming in India face the problem of ground clearance. The list also includes Mercedes-Benz EQC and Tesla Nexon EV. The wheelbase of these vehicles is quite long, which makes their architecture look strong, but their ground clearance on Indian roads becomes very low. In such a situation, if Tesla has to launch its vehicles in India in future without any problem, then the company will have to take action on it.
