Tesla chief Elon Musk held town hall discussions with Twitter employees for the first time. Musk has spoken directly to the company’s employees for the first time since announcing the purchase of Twitter for $44 billion in April. During this discussion, Musk said there is a need to strengthen the company’s financial condition.

Apart from this, the operational cost is also to be reduced. In such a situation, the people there fear losing their jobs. The deal to buy Twitter is currently on hold. It is believed that if they complete this deal, hundreds of employees will lose their jobs.

According to the report of The Verge, Elon Musk interacted directly with the company’s employees and also answered the questions asked them. When asked about the layoffs, he said that the company’s revenue is more than what it is.

Thus, there is a need to reduce the expenditure. However, he has not said anything clearly about the layoffs. On layoffs, he bluntly stated that it depends on the situation. The position of the company needs to be strengthened.

Everyone should get the right to free speech.

During the 10-minute discussion, Musk told the Twitter employee that everyone has the right to free speech. The commoner who wants to ask the question should get a full opportunity on Twitter, although your question does not violate the law.

Do not rule out the possibility of layoffs.

Musk did not rule out any possibility on the question related to layoffs in the company. He said that the financial condition of the company needs to be strengthened. If someone contributes to the company, then there is no need to panic. He said that it would be based on the performance of the employee. The focus of the company will be on making a profit. Apart from this, this platform will also have to be upgraded.

Not against the advertising model

He said he is not against the advertising model regarding advertising on Twitter. I want to tell the advertisers that the emphasis should be on making the content as entertaining as possible. In the past, Musk talked about making Twitter advertising free.

For Work From Home Limited Employee

Regarding work from home, he said that only those people whose contribution to the company is outstanding, only those people will be allowed to work from home. Musk recently told Tesla’s employees that they must come to the office if they want to work in the company. If an employee does not come to the office, he will be considered no longer associated with the company.
