What will be the speciality
Special care will be taken for safety in the new Vande Bharat trains. The most prominent feature of this train will be that the ‘Collision Avoidance System’ (TCAS) will be used in the train to prevent cases of crossing signal in danger (SPAD). In addition, Vande Bharat Express trains will also have a centralized coach-monitoring system, whereby a designated person will monitor all electrical components and climate control on a real-time basis.
Such will be the security.
The new trains have been upgraded with several safety features compared to the older models. The safety measures also include four emergency windows per coach as against two earlier. Railway officials said that better facilities would be provided to the passengers in the new trains. These will have automatic doors, sensor-operated doors for coaches, more expansive windows and more storage space.
ICF is planning to manufacture around ten trains every month. F-Kapurthala and Modern Coach Factory in Rae Bareli will also start manufacturing these coaches to meet the target of 400 Vande Bharat trains in the next three years.
