Ali had given the reason for leaving the show. According to the ETimes report, he had said- ‘This is unfortunate. There are occasions when you stand at a crossroads and have to take a tough decision. I miss the show and the stage. We started working as a team. But there came a time when I felt that too much is enough professionally. I left the show because of the creative differences as my character became stagnant and my work came to a standstill. There was no scope for improvement in it.

In another interview, Ali told the reason behind not doing OTT shows. He says- ‘The image of a comedian is powerful. So I don’t think people would like to see me in any other role. I have played some drag characters on TV, whereas OTT is a reality zone.
Ali Asghar is not afraid of stereotypes.
Continuing his point, he said that he does not care about the stereotype. They do their work inflow. ‘I have played a variety of characters. I can’t explain to people. All I can do is tell them that I am versatile and work on my project. Well, I am satisfied with what I did.
