Amitabh, in collaboration with Haji Ali Trust, posted 187 workers stranded in Mumbai by IndiGo’s Boeing aircraft to Gorakhpur on Wednesday. When the workers reached Gorakhpur Airport, when they came out, they did not remain happy.
According to sources, Amitabh and Haji Ali Trust have taken the cost of the aircraft to send laborers from not only Gorakhpur but also some other cities of UP.

Migrant workers said that because of Amitabh Bachchan, not only did they reach their home, but they also got a chance to travel on a ship. All the workers boarded a charter plane at Mumbai Airport on Wednesday and reached Gorakhpur Airport. Globs, sanitizers, and food items were also given to all the workers aboard the aircraft. The entire cost of the plane borne by Amitabh Bachchan’s team Mission Milap and Haji Ali Trust of Mumbai.
Expressing his happiness, Mohammad Tauqeed, who reached Gorakhpur by charter plane, said that he tried hard to get by train but could not find a place. After registration, on June 8, I received a call that an aircraft has arranged to go to Gorakhpur on June 10, make preparations.
Tauqid told that the car arrived at the home, and from that, he reached Mumbai Airport. He sat there on a plane and in two hours he came to Gorakhpur. Tauqeed said that he never thought even in his dream that he would be able to travel by plane. Today he is pleased. He told that eight companions working with him from the ship also reached Gorakhpur.
Airport director A.K. Dwivedi said that most of the expatriate workers were on the plane. He was in Kushinagar at that time, but the news of IndiGo’s Boeing aircraft landing from Mumbai was received.
Another person named Javed told that his relatives used to work in a Mumbai factory. They wanted to return home after work stopped in lockdown, but arrangements could not be made. His supervisor told him a day before that he would be sent by plane to Gorakhpur on Wednesday morning.
