Shah Rukh Khan’s son Aryan Khan troubles are not taking the name of lessening. Aryan’s judicial custody has been extended till October 30 after the special NDPS court dismissed the bail plea. On the other hand, Aryan’s lawyers have filed an application for bail in the Bombay High Court, which is to be heard on October 26. Aryan has been lodged in Arthur Road Jail in Mumbai for nearly 15 days in the cruise drugs case.
Aryan Khan Judicial Custody Till 30th October
Aryan was arrested by the Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) after a raid on Cruise. The magistrate court had sent him to judicial custody for 14 days, whose period ended today (October 21). Now the Sessions Court (Special NDPS Court) has extended the period of custody by nine days and sent him to judicial custody till 30. Aryan’s lawyers have now moved the Bombay High Court.
On Thursday, Shah Rukh Khan also met Aryan Khan in jail. At the same time, a team of NCB had reached Shah Rukh’s house Mannat for paperwork. Bollywood actress Ananya Pandey is now being questioned in this case, whose name allegedly surfaced in Aryan’s WhatsApp chats.
On the night of 2 October, NCB raided a luxury cruise ship going from Mumbai to Goa and detained Aryan Khan, Arbaaz Merchant, Munmun Dhamecha, Vikrant Chhokar, Nupur Sarika, Ismeet Singh, Mohk Jaiswal and Gomit Chopra for questioning. . All of them were arrested on 3 October and remanded to one day NCB custody by the magistrate court.
After the expiry of the custody period on October 4, the NCB presented them in the court and requested for extension of custody, on which the court extended the period of custody by three more days.
On 7 October, the NCB once again requested the court to extend the custody, but the court said that they had been given enough time for questioning. The magistrate court, while rejecting the bail petitions, sent them to judicial custody for 14 days. On October 8, all the accused, including all Aryans, were shifted to Arthur Road Jail in Mumbai.
On October 11, Aryan’s lawyers Satish Manshinde and Amit Desai had moved the bail plea in the special NDPS court. The petition was heard on 13 and 14 October, on which the decision came on 20 October. The NDPS court dismissed the bail petitions. Aryan Khan lawyers have now applied for bail in the Bombay High Court, which is to be heard on October 26.
