Singer Rahul Sipligunj and actress Niharika Konidela were taken into custody by the police in the early hours of Sunday after they broke away from a luxurious pub in Banjara Hills on Saturday night. Police have confirmed that both the celebs were among 150 people detained by the Task Force and Banjara Hills Police.
A top cop from Banjara Hills police station told Hyderabad Times, “Last night around 150 people were partying in a pub. Pubs are not allowed to operate after midnight. A singer and actress are also detained for having found banned substances on the premises. We are still inquiring, and no FIR has been registered yet. More details will come out soon.”
Rahul Sipligunj and Niharika Konidela Detained
Both Rahul Sipligunj and Niharika Konidela and several other VIPs were at the police station overnight and received a notice from the police. Although whether he was involved in substance abuse or not is currently waiting to be confirmed. According to the report, Rahul was dropped by the police at 8 am on Sunday, while Niharika was seen leaving the station at noon.
Significantly, blood samples of all the detained people have been taken for investigation. However, his medical report has not come yet. In March 2020, Rahul was involved in a brawl at a pub in Sipligunj Hyderabad. At present, the details are awaited.
