FIR on Sai Dharam Tej

The Cyberabad Police wished Sai Tej a speedy recovery, saying that this unfortunate incident would not have happened had he taken precautions and driven the vehicle within the permissible speed limit and fastened his helmet correctly. Police said, “Based on the analysis of evidence found near the spot, it has been found that the bike was driven on the road at speed exceeding the prescribed rate. At the same time, CCTV footage showed that the motorcycle was travelling at an average speed of 75 kmph at the accident site.

There is also an allegation of carelessly overtaking vehicles.

Since he was driving rashly and recklessly, a case has been registered against him at Rayadurgam police station of Cyberabad Police Commissionerate under sections 336 and 279 of the Indian Penal Code (IPC) and section 184 of the Motor Vehicles Act. The police, in their investigation, also found that Sai Tej was riding a bike on the cable bridge at an average speed of more than 100 kmph. After scanning the CCTV footage, the police said that Sai’s bike rider was recklessly overtaking other vehicles.

Sai Tej has bought the old Triumph bike from Bura Anil Kumar, a resident of LB Nagar, but has not yet registered it in his name. Earlier, this motorcycle was also challenged for overspeeding in Madhapur on August 2, 2020. Where the fixed speed of the bike is 40 kmph, this bike was driven at a rate of 87 kmph. There was an e-challan of Rs 1,135 for this overspeeding.

Interestingly, the challan was paid for by some unknown person on Saturday. Deputy Commissioner of Police, Madhapur, Cyberabad, M. Venkateshwarlu, said this is also being confirmed for investigation.
