After which, an FIR was registered against him. An FIR has been lodged against Javed Akhtar by lawyer Santosh Dubey in Mulund police station. This FIR has been registered under Section 500 of IPC.
Lawyer Santosh Dubey has said in a conversation with PTI that I had earlier sent a legal notice to Javed Akhtar asking him to apologize for his remarks, but he did not do anything. Now an FIR has been registered against him on my complaint.
Had sought 100 crore damages
Advocate Santosh Dubey had earlier said that if Javed Akhtar does not respond to the unconditional written apology and notice within seven days, he will file a criminal case against him, seeking Rs 100 crore as damages. He had said that the kind of rhetoric made by Javed Akhtar is an offence under sections 499 and 500 of IPC.
