The comedy show India’s Laughter Champion has started on TV, and many comedians from across the country are entertaining the audience here. 28-year-old Jay Chhaniyara is also seen in the show. Jay is a Divyang; after 17 years, he has returned to the small screen. His comedy has impressed the audience and the judges Archana Puran Singh and Shekhar Suman.
Jay’s journey has not been easy.
Jay Chhaniyara was born in Rajkot, Gujarat and was diagnosed with cerebral palsy early. It would not be wrong to say that his career is only due to the pain caused by this disease.
The operation has been done many times.
Jay’s life has been full of troubles. He has had 6 operations on both his legs. It was excruciating for just a 6-year-old kid. His parents gave him a simple mimicry cassette in Gujarati to divert his attention from the troubles going on in life and to ease his pain. The effect of this cassette was soon visible on Jay Chhaniyara.
When the family members came to see Jay, he uttered the entire cassette without forgetting a single word. His family members were shocked to see this. After this, Jay said, ‘this is side A; now listen to side B’. After this, his parents realized that he was not an ordinary child.
