Radhe Shyam on TamilRockers: The much-awaited romantic drama ‘Radhe Shyam’ starring Prabhas and Pooja Hegde is the latest film to fall prey to online piracy. Within a few hours of its release, the entire movie was leaked on many torrent sites. This is a significant setback for the makers as the film has been made on a massive budget of Rs 350 crore.

According to reports, the Hindi dubbed version received a lukewarm response at the box office. The estimated collection of the first day was around Rs 4.50 crore. It is expected that circuits like Odisha Saurashtra can give higher numbers than expected, while the film is expected to earn decent revenue from Hyderabad and Nizam.
But the makers may also have to suffer due to the film’s leak. In the movie written and directed by Radha Krishna Kumar, Prabhas plays the role of Vikramaditya, a palmist.

Prabhas, in an interview with PTI, said about his character, “With ‘Radhe Shyam’, I want to show myself a different kind of entertainment. There are many new elements because it is not just about a boy; it is about a boy. I have to fall in love with a girl.
My character is the world-famous palmist Vikramaditya who does not have a love line. The story explores the complexities of their relationship and how fate plays a role. A love story, emotions and drama Huh.”

It was also reported that filmmaker Vivek Agnihotri’s latest film ‘The Kashmir Files’ was leaked on piracy websites and is available for free download. Starring Anupam Kher, Mithun Chakraborty and Darshan Kumar, the film tells the story of the exodus of Kashmiri Pandits.

These leaks come when Bollywood is trying to revive itself after the corona pandemic and is also trying to revive theatres that were a hit during the Covid-induced lockdown. Several other films like Ajith Kumar’s ‘Valimai’ and Yami Gautam and Neha Dhupia’s ‘A Thursday’ were also leaked online.
