In a new interview, Surveen noted that she was also a victim of body shaming during her first film meeting in Mumbai.
Recently Surveen Chawla had a conversation with RJ Siddhartha Kannan. During this, he was asked if he had ever felt embarrassed about his weight and did not get work. To which Surveen replied, “Yes, it happened to me. I went to Bombay for my first film.
At that time, I was doing television, and then I went for the first meeting in connection with the film. There my weight was measured.” I questioned it, and I also had to be a victim of body shaming. It happens to most women also where their appearance is asked, their weight is questioned, what is your waist size, your chest size, What is the size, the question is raised.

He continued, “It’s just madness. What are the parameters to be here? What are they? It was a period where it was a lot of casting couch even in the South film industry, and it was a tough time. … it was there too, but I don’t think anyone even has the correct parameters that define you or make you believe or distrust where you want to be or where you are.
Surveen Chawla made her television debut with Kahin Toh Hoga (2003). Later he worked in Kasautii Zindagii Kay (2004) and Kajal (2006). She appeared in the reality dance show Ek Khiladi Ek Haseena (2008). Surveen has also worked in many films. Surveen made her debut in films with the Kannada film Paramesha Paanwala. Surveen will be seen opposite actor R Madhavan in the upcoming series Decauld to be released on Netflix on December 17.
