He had said, “Working on the character of Dayaben has started, and the character is all set to make a comeback in the show, but it will not be Disha Vakani; the auditions to replace Disha have started and soon. There will be a new actress entry in the form of Dayaben.
Know why the production house took so long to replace
When the producer was further asked why it took him so long to replace Disha. Explaining the reason behind this, Asit Modi said, “After getting married, Disha Vakani worked for some time. After which, she took a break. The baby was born after the break, and they continued their break to be with him. We expected Disha to return. But then came the pandemic. During that time, too many restrictions were imposed on shooting. Even though we took all the necessary precautions, Disha said she was scared to return to the shoot.
