Pyaaz Ki Kachori Recipe: Enjoy Delicious Onion Kachori At Home


Pyaaz Ki Kachori is a delicious and crispy dish. It is prevalent in Indian homes. It is made from maida, onion, green chillies and a mixture of spices etc. This delicious dish can be served with tamarind or green chutney and a drink of your choice. This recipe can also be made on many unique occasions. Let’s find out how you can make it at home.

Pyaaz Ki Kachori Ingredients

  1. Maida 1 cup
  2. Sugar 1/2 tsp
  3. Powder 1 tsp red chilli
  4. Ginger paste 1 tsp
  5. Dried mango powder 1 tsp
  6. Coriander seeds 1 tbsp
  7. Cumin 1/2 tsp
  8. Refined oil as required
  9. Water 1/2 cup
  10. Onion 1
  11. Garam Masala Powder 1/2 tsp
  12. Green chili 2
  13. Garlic paste 1 tsp
  14. Besan – 1 tbsp
  15. Asafoetida – 1 pinch
  16. Rai – 1/2 tsp
  17. Boiled potatoes – 2

Step-1 – Knead and prepare the dough for Kachori

To knead the dough, take a bowl and add all-purpose flour, salt, 1 tsp refined oil and water. Knead a stiff dough out of it. Keep it aside for some time. Meanwhile, finely chop the onion and green chillies. Could you put them in a bowl? Mash the boiled potatoes and keep them in a separate bowl.


Step – 2 Fry the spices

Now put a pan on medium heat and add one teaspoon of refined oil to it. When the oil is hot enough, add garlic paste, ginger paste, asafoetida, cumin, sugar and mustard seeds. Fry well and let the mixture cook. After this, add green coriander, chopped onion, chopped green chilli and salt as per taste. Mix all the ingredients well.

Step – 3 Prepare the Filling


When the onion becomes light brown, add red chilli powder, mashed potatoes, mango powder, gram flour, sugar, and garam masala powder. Mix everything well. After the oil separates in the pan, take it off the flame and keep it cool down.

Step – 4 Prepare Stuffed Balls to make Kachori

Now take out some dough from the dough and make small balls of the dough. Then use a rolling pin to flatten the circle, then add stuffing and seal the corners. Make all the kachoris like this.


Step – 5 Deep fries the kachoris and serve with chutney

Now place a deep-bottomed pan on medium heat and heat refined oil in it. When the oil is hot enough, put the kachoris in it and fry them till they turn golden brown. After the kachoris are cooked, place them on a plate covered with absorbent paper. Serve it with tamarind and green chutney.
