Lucknow News: There is good news for the relatives and supporters of SP MLA and former minister Azam Khan, who are waiting for their release in Sitapur jail. After interim bail from the Supreme Court, today, on May 20, the SP leader has been released from Sitapur Jail. Along with Azam Khan, both his sons and Praspa President Shivpal Yadav are also present.

Azam Khan, who left for Rampur from Sitapur Jail, was accompanied by his sons Abdullah Azam Khan and Adeeb, who were waiting for Azam Khan standing at the gate before release. The great thing is that among those waiting for Azam Khan’s release, Praspa President Shivpal Yadav is also present, who had reached Sitapur Jail early in the morning.

Supreme Court’s decision on Azam Khan’s bail
On May 19, the Supreme Court’s bench of Justice L Nageswara Rao, Justice BR Gavai, and Justice S Gopanna gave the verdict on the bail of the former SP minister. As soon as he got bail in one case, Azam Khan had approached the Supreme Court and filed a bail application, in which Azam’s lawyer Kapil Sibal, through several arguments, sought to grant him bail.
A total of 89 cases against Azam Khan
Eighty-nine cases have been registered against SP leader Azam Khan; he has now got bail in all these cases. He has already gotten bail in 88 cases, including the enemy property case. Under Article 142 of the Constitution, the Supreme Court has granted interim bail to Azam to exercise its power. Azam Khan has been serving a sentence in Sitapur Jail for 26 months. Azam Khan’s lawyers were doing everything possible for his release. After 27 months in jail, Azam Khan has returned home.
