After the assembly elections in Uttar Pradesh, the Bharatiya Janata Party government was formed, and now the party has shifted its focus to the Lok Sabha elections. At the same time, the opposition parties are still shying away from reviewing the defeat in the assembly elections.
The BJP has started focusing on those weak booths in the state, which got fewer votes in the last Lok Sabha elections and assembly elections. The party has begun work on the roadmap for the Lok Sabha elections to repeat the old record in the 2024 Lok Sabha elections. It is noteworthy that CM Yogi Adityanath has set the target of winning 75 seats in the Lok Sabha elections in front of the workers.
In fact, in the meeting of the State Working Committee held in Lucknow recently, it was decided to focus on the weak booths. The party had agreed to prepare the list in May itself and handed over its responsibility to its leaders.
After which, the party has identified weak booths ranging from 225 to 250 in each Lok Sabha constituency. BJP has prepared a strategy for these booths, and their responsibility will be given to MLAs and MPs. It is being told that the state-level leaders of the BJP will provide time to these booths in fifteen days, and from July, the organization’s work will start at these booths.
BJP set a target of winning 75 seats
The BJP State Working Committee meeting was held in Lucknow only last month, and in this, Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has set a target of winning 75 seats in the 2024 Lok Sabha elections. Along with this, Sunil Bansal, the General Secretary of BJP, had talked about identifying weak booths in the Lok Sabha constituency.
He had said that the responsibility of 100 weak booths in each seat would be given to the party’s Lok Sabha member (MP) or Rajya Sabha member. Where there will be no party MLAs, the MLC will handle its responsibility. 25 booths will be given to the MLA of the Legislative Assembly or the member of the Legislative Council.
80 with MP and ten workers with MLA team will be formed
According to the information, BJP has identified weak booths ranging from 225 to 250 in each Lok Sabha seat. The party got the least number of votes in these booths. Under the party’s strategy, from June 15 to 30, the state team will visit the districts, and after the report comes, a team of 80 workers along with the MP and ten along with the MLA will be formed, which will work to strengthen the booths at the local level.
