Sohna Elevated Highway: There is good news for those travelling from Delhi to Gurugram. Sohna Elevated Highway has been started on National Highway 248A. The construction of this highway was going on for a long time. Now commuters can commute to and from Rajiv Chowk to Sohna without traffic jams. It is a six-lane highway. Earlier this year, on 1st April, the elevated road was started from Badshahpur to Sohna.
Now this 25 km long highway has been completely opened. Regarding starting the Sohna elevated highway, Union Road Transport and Highways Minister Nitin Gadkari have told through social media that starting this 25 km long highway will save both time and fuel for the passengers.
About Rs, 2000 crore was spent on the construction of elevated highways.
Nitin Gadkari has said that about 2000 crore rupees have been spent on constructing the Sohna elevated highway. A 6-lane access controlled corridor has been made on this highway with a total elevated section of about 7 km. Apart from this, a three-lane service road has also been constructed on both sides of the highway to convenience local traffic. Launching the Sohna elevated highway will shorten the distance between Gurugram and Delhi and take less time for the Delhi-Mumbai Expressway.
The construction work of the highway started in the year 2018.
There has been a traffic jam from Rajiv Chowk to Subhash Chowk, Islampur, Tikri Cut, and Vatika Chowk to go to Sohna, but people have gotten rid of it now. At the same time, the construction work of the Sohna elevated highway started in the year 2018. A target of 30 months was set to complete it, but due to the Corona epidemic, the work of the highway had to be stopped for some time. After which its deadline was extended. Now the Sohna elevated highway has started for the common passengers.
