Navjot Sidhu Refuses To Eat Lentils And Roti From Jail, Taken To Hospital

Congress leader Navjot Singh Sidhu is lodged in Patiala Jail these days. He is serving a sentence given by the Supreme Court in the 33-year-old road rage case. Meanwhile, the news is coming that Sidhu has refused to eat lentils and roti in jail. He has been taken to Rajindra Hospital in Patiala, where his medical checkup is done.

It is being told that Sidhu has been taken to Rajendra Hospital in Patiala. His medical checkup is being done. The jail administration has constituted a medical board. It will prepare a diet plan for Sidhu. Sidhu has claimed that he is allergic to wheat, so he has refused to eat jail food. They are not eating the dal roti of jail. They are making a living by eating only salad.

Sidhu demanded a special diet.

Sidhu is allergic to wheat. He has a liver problem. Given this, Sidhu has demanded a special diet from the jail administration. Sidhu’s media advisor Surinder Dalla said that Sidhu is allergic to wheat. He cannot eat wheat bread. He has not been eating roti for a long time, so he has asked for a special diet. He had also given information about this during the medical. The court has asked for a report by 4:00 pm after getting his medical checkup.

Supreme Court sentenced

Congress leader Navjot Singh Sidhu to 1-year imprisonment in the 1988 road rage case. Sidhu, along with his friend, had beaten up a person. After this, he died during treatment. However, it was revealed in the report that the person died due to a heart attack.

Sidhu was acquitted in this case by the trial court. But the High Court had sentenced Sidhu to 3 years imprisonment. After this, the decision was challenged in the Supreme Court on behalf of Sidhu. On 15 May 2018, the Supreme Court overturned the High Court’s decision. The Supreme Court had imposed a fine of Rs 1,000 on Navjot Sidhu in this case. But the victims sentenced Sidhu to one year in prison while hearing a review petition on the Supreme Court’s decision in May 2018.
