It started with a LinkedIn post of a person named Rahul Kabra, in which he shared the online bill of Zomato and the offline bill of the restaurant of the same order, showing the difference between the rates. Rahul Kabra said that the same type of food was ordered from Zomato and the restaurant, but there was a difference in both rates. They found it expensive to get food from Zomato.

Rahul Kabra wrote in his post that Zomato earns more money per order than the food service provider (restaurant). He has also shared a copy of the bill comparing the price of online vs offline orders.

According to the bill, Zomato took Rs 690 for food even after giving a discount of Rs 75, while the restaurant took Rs 512 for the same food. Rahul Kabra said ordering the same item online had to pay Rs 178 more. Thousands of people have reacted to this post of his. Many users also made rude comments on Zomato.
