The name of this young man is Prem. He has got a scholarship of Rs 2.5 crore from Lafayette College in America to do mechanical engineering. Lafayette College America has given this scholarship to Prem Kumar, a resident of Gonpur in Phulwari Sharif, adjacent to Patna, the capital of Bihar. Six names were sent from India for this scholarship.
Prem Kumar, who lives in the slum of Gonpura Mahadalit Basti of Phulwari Sharif, got this scholarship of 2.5 crores based on his studies. You will be stunned if you see the young man’s house. Prem used to study in a dark room of a slum house with lights on. Now he will learn in a big college in America.

Prem’s father is a daily wage labourer, and his mother died 12 years ago due to being paralyzed by sleeping on the ground. Even after being a daily wage labourer, the father taught his child. Today Prem has become the only youth in India to get a scholarship of 2.5 crores. Now society, as well as the people around, are feeding him, sweets.

Prem Kumar said that we had struggled a lot; if there were no struggle, then this achievement would not have been achieved; I have participated in whatever opportunities I have got during my studies and have reached my destination; we come from an impoverished family. My father works as a farm labourer, and my mother has passed away.
On hearing about the success of love, the family members have an atmosphere of happiness. Prem’s elder sister and father are also looking delighted. The family said it is a matter of pride for the whole country, not our society. The family told us that people should study and work hard and achieve success; no victory is achieved without hard work.
