Silver Shivling was found in the Saryu river in the Mau district of Uttar Pradesh. Mallahs took out the Shivling and placed it in the village temple. The villagers started worshipping it as a miracle. As soon as the news of silver Shivling being found in the river spread, a crowd gathered on the spot. Police said that the upper layer of the Shivling is of silver and is filled with lacquer. Its total weight is 21 kg.
Crowds of people gathered to see this Shivling found in the month of Sawan. Acharya Shyam Pandey informed the local police. As soon as the information was received, the police assured the local people they would be allowed to visit the Shivling. Then Shivling was taken to the police station premises. Now the police are trying to find the authenticity and metal of the Shivling.
On getting the silver Shivling, Superintendent of Police Avinash Pandey said that the Shivling has been brought to the police station respectfully and has been duly worshipped, after which the investigating agencies have been informed.
After getting investigated by expert agencies, it will be tried to find out from which region this Shivling belongs and what is the matter behind it? Further action will be taken only after a thorough investigation. If nothing else comes, then the people of the police station area where this Shivling has been found will be handed over to them, but first, it will be investigated by all the agencies.
Silver Shivling found in the sand of river Saryu created happiness among the believers. The town resonated with Har Har Mahadev. Thousands of people gathered and worshipped the Shivling.
