Suspicious Case Of Monkeypox Found In Kerala Stirred Up


Monkeypox: There has been a stir in Kerala after getting a suspected case of monkeypox. The Health Department has taken the person’s sample and sent it for examination. The person showed symptoms of monkeypox. If the sample is confirmed, it will be the first case of monkeypox in India. The state health department said on Thursday that the person had returned from the United Arab Emirates (UAE) three days ago. On coming here, his health deteriorated, after which he had to be admitted to the hospital.

Health Minister Veena George said that after taking a sample from this passenger, it had been sent to the National Institute of Virology, Pune, for examination. The minister said that once the test results are out, something can be said clearly about it. According to the World Health Organization, monkeypox is a viral disease transmitted from animals to humans. Its symptoms are similar to smallpox, but it is considered less fatal. The WHO says that the disease begins to spread when the virus-infected objects, animals and humans come in close contact. Its symptoms can last in the body for two to four weeks.

Government is already alert. The government is already alert about monkeypox. The Health Ministry has already issued guidelines regarding the states and union territories. State governments have also done random sampling of people coming from abroad. In May last, ICMR said that this infection is more dangerous for children. Therefore, there is a greater need to protect children from this. During a conversation with the ANI news agency, ICMR scientist Dr Archana Mukherjee said there is more need to protect children from this infection. According to Dr Archana Mukherjee, this infection is more dangerous for those who were not vaccinated after 1980.


Symptoms of Monkeypox When infected with monkeypox, body pain and rashes start. The person has a high fever, and lumps appear near the throat. Given the increasing case of monkeypox infection, the World Health Organization (WHO) official has said that the proper measures should be taken at the right time to prevent the case of monkeypox.
