Ingredients of Badam Phirni
- Half litre milk
- Sugar as required
- Tsp ground green cardamom
- Water as required
- 100 grams almonds
- 2 tbsp rice
- 1 tbsp rose water
- Chopped pistachios – to garnish
How to make Badam Phirni
Step – 1 Soak rice and grind it to make a paste
Soak rice in water for 15-20 minutes to make this dessert. Make a thick and grainy paste out of it. Now take milk in a pan and keep it on medium flame.
Step – 2 Boil milk with cardamom and add almonds to it
Meanwhile, take a chopping board. Finely chop the almonds. When the milk starts boiling, add sugar and cardamom powder to it. After boiling, reduce the flame. Add chopped almonds and cook for two more minutes.
Step – 3 Mix rice paste with milk and let it thicken
Now add rice paste to it and mix well. Keep in mind that keep it running the whole time. When it becomes thick, turn off the flame. Add rose water to it and stir.
Step – 4 Refrigerate and garnish with chopped nuts
Keep the phirni in the fridge for an hour. Garnish with almonds and chopped pistachios. You can also put silver work on top for garnishing. Serve cold and enjoy.
