Beetroot Raita Recipe: If you are bored with the same old raita and plain curd, you can give raita a new twist. You can also use beetroot to make raita. The beautiful pink colour of beetroot gives an attractive look to this delicious dish. You can make raita using cooked beetroot and spices.

It is not only tasty but also very healthy. Yoghurt is a superfood that helps ease the digestive system. Beetroot raita can be made very quickly at home. Let’s know its recipe.

Ingredients of Beetroot Raita

  1. Beetroot – 2 chopped
  2. Masala chilli powder – 3/4 tsp
  3. Salt as required
  4. Roasted cumin powder – 3/4 tsp
  5. Curd – 3 cups

Step – 1 Cook the beetroot till it becomes soft

To make beetroot raita, boil beetroot in steam or cook till it becomes very soft. Check once the beet is cooked or not. Peel and cut the beetroot and keep it aside.

Step – 2 Mix spices in curd and mix in cooked beetroot

After this, take curd in a mixing bowl. Add roasted cumin powder, red chilli powder and salt to it. Blend the ingredients well until the curd becomes smooth and the spices are incorporated. Now add chopped beetroot to the curd and keep stirring. You will see that pink coloured curd is forming. Keep the bowl in the fridge to cool down. Garnish it with mint leaves. Serve chilled and enjoy.
