Chinese Kung Pao Paneer Recipe at Home in Very Easy Steps


Chinese Kung Pao Paneer: Kung Pao Cheese is an Indo-Chinese recipe. If you are a fan of paneer, then you are going to love this combo. Kung Pao Paneer has a mixture of Indian spices and Chinese flavours. Unlike chilli chicken, it doesn’t contain much soy sauce; instead, it comes from Indian spices.

The second twist in the recipe is adding crushed peanuts. Try using salted peanuts, as they will add a unique flavour to this dish. Kung Pao Paneer is an amazing street-food-style recipe for all vegetarians. Do try this recipe and let us know your opinion on it.

Ingredients of Kung Pao Cheese

Four servings

  1. 250 grams paneer cut into cubes
  2. 1 1/2 tablespoon cornflour
  3. Two dry red chillies
  4. One medium chopped capsicum (green chilli)
  5. One handful of chopped green onion
  6. 1/4 cup ground groundnut
  7. Grams salt as
  8. Required Water
  9. 1 1/2 Tbsp red chilli sauce
  10. 2 Tbsp vegetable oil
  11. 1 1/2 tsp chopped garlic
  12. One medium thinly sliced ​​onion
  13. 1/2 Tbsp soy sauce
  14. 1 tsp red chilli powder
  15. Gram black pepper

How to make Kung Pao Cheese?

Step 1- Coat the paneer with spices

In a bowl, add paneer pieces, chilli powder, salt, pepper and 1 tbsp cornflour. Mix everything well.

Step 2- Fry the paneer cubes lightly.


Heat oil in a pan and then add the paneer pieces. Fry them till they become light golden. Once done, transfer them to an absorbent paper. Now fry garlic on the same pan.

Step 3- Mix the rest of the ingredients.

Now add onion and red chilli to it. Fry them till the onion becomes transparent. After this, add capsicum and fry it for 2 minutes. Once done, add chilli sauce, peanuts, soy sauce and 1 tbsp cornflour (mix 1/2 tbsp cornflour in 1 tbsp water). Mix everything well and then cook them for 3 minutes.


Step 4- Add fried paneer cubes.

Lastly, add fried paneer pieces and salt. Mix everything well and cook for 1-2 minutes.

Step 5- Your Kung Pao Paneer is ready to be served


Garnish it with spring onion. Your Kung Pao Paneer is prepared. Now enjoy it a lot.


To add extra flavour to the recipe, give preference to salted peanuts instead of regular peanuts.

If you want, you can add more vegetables like corn, capsicum.
