Dal Kachori Recipe: Try This Delicious Dal Kachori Recipe On Weekend


Dal Kachori Recipe: Kachori is one such snack that can make anyone’s mouth water. Kachori is a popular snack. It is made from different types of stuffing. You can also make Moong Dal Kachori. It is pretty easy to make. You can serve this recipe in an evening snack also. It is also an excellent festive snack recipe.

Ingredients of Dal Kachori

  1. Wheat flour – 1 cup
  2. Salt as required
  3. Kasoori Fenugreek Powder – 1 tsp
  4. Ajwain – 2 tsp
  5. Ghee – 2 tsp
  6. Refined oil – 2 cups
  7. Cumin Powder – 1 tsp
  8. Baking Soda – 1/2 tsp
  9. Water as required

For filling

  1. Urad dal – 1 tsp
  2. Fennel Powder – 1 tsp
  3. Coriander Powder – 1 tsp
  4. Red chilli powder – 1 tsp

Steps to make Dal Kachori

Step – 1 Knead soft dough of wheat flour


Dal Kachori is one of the most popular dishes in Rajasthan; it can be prepared at home using few readily available ingredients. For this, first, take a big bowl, add wheat flour, carom seeds, salt to taste and two spoons of ghee. Mix well and knead the soft dough using water. Cover the dough and keep it aside for 15 to 20 minutes. Now wash and soak the urad dal for 10 minutes.

Step – 2 Fry the spices and add soaked lentils

Take the soaked lentils and grind them to make a fine paste. Place a pan on medium heat and add 1 tsp oil to it. Add carom seeds, soaked urad dal paste, red chilli powder, coriander powder, fennel, cumin powder, salt as per taste, kasoori fenugreek powder and baking soda. After mixing the spices well, add some water to it and mix the spices. Once done, switch off the gas and let it cool down.


Step – 3 Make kachoris and fry on low flame.

Now take the dough and flatten it with the help of fingers. Make kachori by filling the stuffing of lentils in it. Repeat the same process with other dough balls. Meanwhile, heat oil in a pan and once it becomes hot enough, deep fry the kachoris till they turn golden brown. Your crispy dal kachori is ready to be served. It tastes best when served with green coriander chutney or sweet chutney.
