Masala Pav Recipe: Must-Try Masala Pav Recipe in Monsoon


Masala Pav Recipe: Masala Pav is a famous Maharashtrian snack. This spicy street food can be eaten on the go. It can be enjoyed with green chillies and chutney of your choice. If you feel like eating a delicious snack with evening tea, then you can enjoy it. It is pretty easy to make. You can also serve this snack during a kitty party or evening parties with friends and family. Let’s know its recipe.

Masala Pav Ingredients

  1. Pav – 4 pieces
  2. Tomato – 1 small
  3. Pav Bhaji Masala – 1 tsp
  4. Red chilli powder – 1/2 tsp
  5. As required – salt
  6. Coriander Powder – 1/2 tsp
  7. Ginger paste – 1 tsp
  8. Onion – 1 small
  9. Small capsicum (green chilli) – 1
  10. Turmeric – 1/2 tsp
  11. Butter – 4 tbsp
  12. Coriander leaves – 2 tbsp
  13. Garlic paste – 1 tsp
  14. Roasted Peanuts – 2 tbsp

Steps to Make Masala Pav

Step-1 Prepare the Masala

Heat 2 tbsp butter in a pan. Add ginger paste, garlic paste and fry for a minute. Now add chopped onion and fry for two more minutes. Now add chopped tomatoes and capsicum. Add all the spices, turmeric, pav bhaji masala, red chilli powder, salt, coriander powder, and mix well. Cook the mixture for 5 minutes. Use a masher to mash the mix lightly. Garnish with coriander leaves and switch off the gas.


Step – 2 Roast the Pav

Heat 2 spoons of butter on a Tawa. Cut the pav in half and fry till it becomes crisp and golden brown from all the sides.

Step-3 Add the Filling and Serve


Grind the stuffing equally in each pav and stuff it with roasted peanuts. Enjoy with the chutney of your choice.
