2700 Cameras Between Churchgate To Virar Station
Western Railway’s CPRO Sumit Thakur told everything in a conversation with Spot News 18 about how the railway is working to increase the safety of the passengers even more.
Thakur said that Western Railway is installing an integrated system from Churchgate to Virar. Under this system, 2700 unique CCTV cameras are being installed. These cameras will record even more explicit videos than the cameras already installed. Out of these 2700 cameras, 450 CCTV cameras are being installed at the entry and exit points of the railway station.
Thakur said that these would be the cameras from which we will be able to recognize the face. The speciality of these cameras will be such that as soon as any suspect passes in front of this camera. The alarm will sound in the control room of the agency, after which he will be caught immediately.
Thakur said that we had contacted ED, CBI, IB, RWW and local police. And asked for the database of all the suspected accused in the list of their accused to put it in our system. And who has seen the face, eyes of those suspects? There will be information related to this. In such a situation, if he wears a mask too, then it will be easy for our camera to recognize him.
