A Unique Child Born In Ratlam, The Newborn Has 2 Mouths And 3 Hands

An extraordinary child was born in the district hospital in Ratlam, Madhya Pradesh, which has become a topic of discussion. The newborn child has two heads and three hands. A few hours after the birth, he was admitted to the ICU at MY Hospital, Indore, given the infant’s condition. The child has been kept under the observation of senior doctors in the hospital.

The doctor says that such an extraordinary newborn happens in crores. Doctors have called this case a miracle of science. In the language of science, such a condition is called polycephaly condition. At the same time, the mother is currently admitted to Ratlam District Hospital. Shaheen, a resident of Javra, has given birth to this child.

Twins were visible in the womb during sonography.

Dr Naved Qureshi of Ratlam District Hospital MCH Unit said that the chances of survival for such children are significantly less. In such cases, 35 per cent of the children die in the womb. At the same time, 40 per cent of those born live for a few hours. Those who survive at that time only live for a few years ahead.

Only 60 to 70 per cent of such children survive till birth. In very few cases, such children can live further. At present, the treatment of this child is going on. The doctor said that twins were shown in the womb during the sonography, but this condition was cleared when the birth was born.

The child’s father, Sohail Khan, said that during the pregnancy, when the doctors had done sonography to check the child’s condition, there was talk of the birth of twins, although then it was not known that the child would be like this. This is the first child of Sohail and his wife Shaheen, who drive an auto in Neem Chowk, Javra. At present, they are apprehensive about the health of the child. He said he was praying to God that the child should be saved.

Two heads connected to the same trunk

Two heads are attached to a single trunk of a newborn. He has three hands. Two hands are in the usual place while one hand has come out near the head. The doctor said that a child is formed from an embryo regarding the child’s condition. At the same time, when two embryos separate, then twins are born; when the embryo is not entirely separated, it is called joint twins.

A similar case was reported in Ratlam in 2017, in which a woman gave birth to a child with two heads and three arms. The child’s heart, penis, lungs were all one; only the head was two. Since birth, the child’s condition was critical; the child died two days after delivery.
