Singhu Border Murder Case: Farmers’ Protest has been on for more than a year on the Singhu border. On Friday, a youth named Lakhbir was brutally murdered at the site of the agitation. Now Nihang Sikh, the main accused in the murder, has surrendered, presented in the court today.
After the murder, the Nihang Sikh had cut off the hands and feet of the young man and hanged him on the barricade. It is alleged that in the night, the deceased Lakhbir had entered the gurdwara wearing the clothes of Nihangs.

It is being told that the young man misbehaved with the Guru Granth Sahib and started running away. Then the Nihangs guarding the gate caught this young man and beat him up. His motive behind this sacrilege was asked. When the young man did not tell anything, his hand was cut; after that, the young man’s leg was cut off and hanged from the barricade.

This incident took place in the farmers’ movement, which till now was being described as peaceful. But after the incident, now the political reactions have also started. However, the United Kisan Morcha has said that they have nothing to do with the incident, and the culprits should be punished severely.
The deceased Lakhbir was a resident of Cheema Khurd village in Tarn Taran district of Punjab. He used to take care and clean the horses of Nihangs, but he took his life. After which, the whole family is in shock.
