Ajit Pawar 1000 Crore Property Seized: The news of the arrest of former Maharashtra Home Minister Anil Deshmukh was not even appropriately cooked that another big news came from the state. Ajit Pawar. He is the Deputy CM of Maharashtra. Income Tax Department has seized five properties allegedly linked to Ajit Pawar’s family. Their value is being said to be more than Rs 1000 crores.

The Income Tax Department has taken this action under the Benami Property Act. Under this, apart from Maharashtra, properties in Delhi and Goa have also been provisionally seized. The properties which have been confiscated by the Income Tax Department include-
- Jarandeshwar Sugar Factory, Maharashtra. Market Value – 600 crores
- Flat in South Delhi, worth around 20 crores
- Nirmal office of Ajit Pawar’s son Parth Pawar, worth 25 crores
- Nilaya Resort in Goa estimated price 250 crores
- Separated at 27 places in Maharashtra Separate lands, market value around 500 crores
What is the whole matter?
Ajit Pawar has been on the radar of IT for a long time. According to the news of Aaj Tak, on October 7 last month, the Income Tax Department had raided the premises of two real estate groups and relatives of Ajit Pawar.
During this investigation of Anant Marx Private Limited, Ajit Pawar’s son Parth Pawar’s company was also done. Parth owns the ownership of this company. Apart from this, the companies of the three sisters of Ajit Pawar were also raided on tax evasion charges.
Apart from Mumbai, the action of the Income Tax Department was done in Pune, Satara, Kolhapur and Daundi. During this, a claim of unearthing property worth 184 crores was made.
BJP’s Kirit Somaiya launched a scathing attack on Ajit Pawar on the action of the Income Tax Department. He alleged that-
“All the family members of Ajit Pawar have Benami properties. Ajit Pawar did not leave even his mother. He also made Benami property in the name of his mother. The dark exploits of Ajit Pawar and Sharad Pawar must be exposed to everyone.”

However, during the Income Tax Department action last month, Ajit Pawar had denied the allegations against him. Alleging misappropriation of central agencies, he had said that we pay total tax every year. There is no error anywhere.
Let us inform you that earlier, former Maharashtra Home Minister Anil Deshmukh was arrested by the ED the midnight of Monday-Tuesday after 12 hours of interrogation. He is accused of money laundering.
