IFFCO Nano Urea Technology: IFFCO Nano Urea was appreciated in the first National Cooperative Conference of the country. Union Home and Cooperation Minister Amit Shah praised this discovery of the world’s number one Fertilizer Co-Operative. He called it a new revolution in the agriculture sector.
Along with this, the role of IFFCO in making the Green Revolution a success was described as critical. Shah said that a big company like IFFCO makes farmers partner in its net profit, which is based on the core mantra.
IFFCO Nano Urea Technology
IFFCO became a society in 1967 with 57 cooperatives, and today, it is growing by making more than 36,000 cooperative members and giving its dividend to about 5.5 crore farmers. Shah said that usually, when a massive company makes a profit, a large part of it goes to its owner, but this does not happen in cooperatives. Whatever IFFCO will earn today, its pie-pie 5.5. Crores will go to the homes of farmers, and this is called cooperative.
When was nano urea started?
Indian Farmers Fertilizer Cooperative Limited (IFFCO) launched the world’s first nano urea liquid for farmers on 31st May this year. It has been designed to reduce the use of standard urea by at least 50 per cent. Its 500 ml bottle contains 40,000 ppm of nitrogen, which provides the nitrogen nutrient equivalent to a bag of normal urea.
About 11,000 agricultural field trials were conducted on more than 94 crops in the country. In this, an average increase of 8 per cent was seen in the yield of crops.
Money-saving for farmers
Nano Urea Liquid has been prepared through indigenous and proprietary technology at the Nano Biotechnology Research Center, Kalol. Now it is available in the market. IFFCO has fixed a bottle of 500 ml Nano Urea at Rs 240 for the farmers, which is 10 per cent less than the cost of a bag of normal urea. Now farmers are being informed about its use from place to place.
Will reduce the risk of disease and pests.
Plants get a balanced amount of nutrients from nano urea. Excess use of urea in the soil decreases. While excessive use of normal urea pollutes the environment, the health of the earth is harmed. Plants are more prone to disease and pests. But it is claimed that this will not happen with the use of Nano Urea Liquid. Due to the small size of nano urea, it can also be kept in a pocket. Due to this, the transportation and storage costs will also come down significantly.
