Arun Govil, who played Lord Ram in the popular television serial Ramayana, has now started his political innings. He joined the Bharatiya Janata Party before the West Bengal assembly elections. He will campaign in favour of the BJP in the Bengal elections. It is being said that Govil will hold around 100 meetings in Bengal.

Assembly elections are going to be held in West Bengal in a few days. Although he, who had been an actor before, has joined the Bharatiya Janata Party. Arun Govil is an actor who became famous in the 90s with the television serial Ramayana. The memories of Ramanand Sagar’s Ramayana shown in the 90s are still fresh in people’s minds. In this religious serial, Lord Ram’s character was played by Arun Govil, and from here, Arun made his identity in every household.

Who is Arun Govil?

Arun Govil, born in Meerut, Uttar Pradesh, G.V. F. Studied Engineering Science from College Shahjahanpur, Meerut University. Only after his studies, he participated in some play. His father, Mr Chandra Prakash Govil, used to work in a government job. Arun was fourth in 6 siblings. He said, ‘I auditioned for Ram, but the makers rejected. He did not like my work at that time, but later, he came to me and offered me this role.

Arun Govil says, ‘I did not get a job in Bollywood by playing Lord Ram’s role. I regret it, but after I realised that I do not get the fame, love, and identity that I have gained after playing Lord Ram’s role in Ramayana after doing commercial films. Ramayan gave me 100 Bollywood films that she cannot provide.
