Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann has recently taken a big decision in education, banning the increase in fees of private schools. As per the order, no increase in fees is allowed in the admissions held in this session. On the orders of CM Bhagwant Mann, the action regarding fees will start from Monday.
According to the information, 419 schools under Mohali, Derabassi and Kharar will be investigated to not increase fees in private schools. The information about the fees of all the schools will be collected along with the evidence.
All schools will be screened on 15 types of parameters. All kinds of charges, including annual fees, admission fees, and tuition fees for 2022-23, will be investigated. The investigation team will have to submit its report in a week. This investigation team will include 17 principals and headteachers.
Let us inform you that Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann has banned private schools from increasing their school fees. Also, the Punjab government will develop a policy, which will be prepared with the parents’ consent. After which, the school will not ask to buy books, dresses and other items from any particular shop, but parents will be free to purchase textbooks and other stationery materials from the shops of their choice.
