Bhopal: Sanchi Milk Price Increased, Full Cream Costlier By Rs 4 Per Litre

MP State Cooperative Dairy Federation has increased the prices of Sanchi Milk. The cost of Full Cream Milk has been increased by Rs 4 per litre. On the other hand, the red packet of full cream of half-litre Sanchi milk, which used to cost Rs 27, has now been reduced to Rs 29. Milk prices have been increased after about 2.5 years. These prices will be applicable from March 21 in 12 districts, including Bhopal.

On the other hand, regional milk unions in the rest of the districts can increase it in the coming days. With the increase of Rs 4 per litre, it will directly impact the people’s pockets. Officials say that a proposal to increase the price was sent in the past, regarding which new rates have been implemented after administrative permission.

It is worth noting that about 2.5 lakh litres of Sanchi milk are consumed daily in Bhopal city. While talking about all the 12 districts, there is a demand for about 3.5 lakh litres of Sanchi milk. The federation has also increased the prices of ghee. The cost of ghee has been increased from Rs 500 per litre to Rs 520. Along with this, the purchase price of the farmers has also been increased.

Mother Dairy also increased the price.

At the same time, Mother Dairy had announced an increase of Rs 2 per litre in milk price in Delhi-NCR at the beginning of March. This price hike, made due to an increase in procurement cost, came into effect on March 6. Earlier, Amul and Parag Milk Foods had increased milk price by Rs 2 per litre.

Mother Dairy on Saturday said that due to an increase in procurement cost (fee to be paid to farmers), fuel price and packaging material, Mother Dairy is forced to increase milk price by Rs 2 per litre in Delhi-NCR, which will come into effect from March 6 2022.

This is the new price.

The price of whole cream milk in NCR is Rs 59 per litre, which was earlier Rs 57 per litre. On the other hand, toned milk has become Rs 49 per litre, double toned milk has become Rs 43 per litre, cow’s milk has become Rs 51 per litre. Tokenized milk has increased from Rs 44 per litre to Rs 46 per litre.
