Bus Falls into River in Meghalaya: A horrific accident has happened in Meghalaya. A bus going from Tura to Shillong fell into the Ringdi river. Four passengers are reported to have died in the accident. This accident happened late at noon in the night. The injured have been admitted to the hospital. Rescue operations are on to rescue other passengers.

According to media reports, four bodies have been fished out in the river while two are trapped inside the bus. According to the police, 16 injured have been admitted to the hospital. The accident took place on the Nongshram bridge, East Garo Hills and West Khasi Hills districts.

21 passengers were on the bus
According to the East Garo Hills Police, the Meghalaya Transport Corporation bus was carrying 21 passengers. The accident happened at a distance of about 185 km from the capital. After getting the information, the rescue and emergency service team has reached the spot, and the rescue operation continues.
Search continues for missing people.
East Garo Hills deputy commissioner Swapnil Tembe has said that two passengers are still missing; the search is on for them. Hope we find them soon. Of the passengers on the bus, nine were from Tura, while 12 passengers were from Williamnagar. The families of the passengers have been asked to contact the East Garo Hills Police Control Room for more details.
