What is a black box
The essential part of any plane or helicopter is the black box. It records all the activities related to the aircraft during the flight of the helicopter or plane. It collects records of conversations between the pilot and ATC. Apart from this, the discussion of pilot and co-pilot is also recorded. It is also called a data recorder.
How did the accident happen?
CDS Bipin Rawat, along with his wife Madhulika Rawat and a team of several senior army officers, left for Sulur to Coonoor in a VVIP chopper MI-17 V-5 on Wednesday at 11.30 pm. He was to lecture him at the Defense Services Staff College in Coonoor. The helicopter took off entirely safely.
