The recovery of bombs and illegal weapons is going on in various districts of West Bengal. On Sunday, many crude bombs were recovered in the Murshidabad district. Bombs were allegedly recovered from a litchi orchard a few days back. According to local sources, the local people first saw the bomb again in the litchi orchard on Sunday morning. Immediately it was informed to the police.
Many police forces are present and have cordoned off the area. Efforts are on to defuse the bombs with the help of the Bomb Disposal Squad. However, no one has been arrested yet. On the other hand, bombing and beating people with guns have happened again in Birbhum.
A resident said that he used to go to the garden every day for work. A few days ago, the bomb was recovered, and this bomb was recovered again. If it ever explodes, an accident could happen. Lots of people come and go here.
Again Crude Bombs Found In Murshidabad
In fact, on Tuesday this week, bombs were also recovered from the district. After receiving the news from secret sources, on Monday evening, the police recovered a bag full of new bombs from the roadside forest in Chashkapur, Samserganj. The Bomb Disposal Squad reached the spot and defused the bomb as soon as the information was received.
On Friday morning, bombs and explosives were found from the litchi orchard behind the Shishu Shiksha Kendra in the village Farakkar Hazarpur. After the bomb was released near the Children’s Education Center, there was a stir in the area. Again, bombs had been recovered in the area by the end of the week.
Bombing in Birbhum, panic in the area
On the other hand, there is tension again in Birbhum. When Mohammad’s family members opposed the bombing, the miscreants opened fire—allegedly beaten. As soon as the news was received, the police of Murrai police station reached the spot.
It is alleged that the attacker hit him in front of a police station sometime afternoon. After the Bogtui incident, the police are searching for bombs across the state on the instructions of Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee. A vast quantity of bombs is being recovered from different areas.
Trinamool’s Birbhum district co-president Abhijit Singh said, ‘The Chief Minister is giving the message of development. Strict action is being taken against anti-social elements by detecting them. There is no such chief minister anywhere. Told to take tough decisions? That’s why the police are taking action.”
