Searches are being conducted at about ten places in the capital of Maharashtra. This action is being taken under the Prevention of Money Laundering Act (PMLA). He said that this action is being taken based on intelligence obtained independently by the ED and the FIR registered by the National Investigation Agency (NIA) against Dawood Ibrahim, the main conspirator of the 1993 Mumbai bombings. Sources said some leaders associated with illegal horse-trading are also on the agency’s radar.
