Due to the rains, a flood-like situation has arisen in the villages situated on the banks of the Ganges River. In the six towns of Kannauj, the increased water of the Ganges has destroyed the crops. Even in the populated area, water has been filled up to 5 to 6 feet. The administration is claiming to help the flood victims, but the victims deny the administration’s claims.

Uttar Pradesh 18 villages in Kannauj districts is worst affected in the floods of the river. Out of which, six villages have been declared as a high flood zone by the district administration. If heavy rains caused havoc in Uttarakhand, its effect was also seen in these high flood zone declared villages of Kannauj. Thousands of bigha crops of Jukayya, Chaurachandpur, Kasimpur, Bakshipurwa villages have been destroyed by the floods.

Flood victims were evacuated to safe places
due to the flood water entering 35 houses of Kasimpur, the entire life of the people living here has been ruined. The administration has taken the villagers here to relief camps built on the road. The DM has entrusted the responsibility of dealing with the floods to SDM Sadar Umakant Tiwari. He says that the flood victims have been shifted to safer places, the damage to crops is also being assessed.
