What parents do not do for the good upbringing of their children, but sometimes children forget the sacrifice of their parents, and leave them alone in old age. Something similar has happened with the elderly Ganesh Shankar Pandey of Agra. Ganesh Shankar’s age is 88 years; he has three sons and two daughters; despite this, he has given all his property to the District Magistrate (DM). The estimated value of his property is being told three crores.
Why did Ganesh Shankar Pandey take this decision?
In 1983, Ganesh Shankar, along with his three brothers Naresh Shankar, Raghunath and Ajay Shankar Pandey, built a luxurious house in the Chhata area of Agra. Time passed, and the four brothers separated. The house was partitioned, and Ganesh Shankar’s share came to a quarter, i.e. 250 yards of land. He has named this house in the name of the District Magistrate.
According to Aaj Tak reporter Arvind Sharma, Ganesh Shankar Pandey said that he has three sons. A son is mentally weak; he does not do any work. The other two sons did not take care of him. He has to depend on his three brothers for bread two times. When their sons were explained, the sons broke up with them.
Ganesh Shankar would further say that he was disgusted by his sons, and hence he decided to transfer all his property to the district officer in 2018 itself. According to Ganesh Shankar, he recently reached the public darshan and handed over the documents of his will to City Magistrate Pratipal Chauhan.
Ganesh Shankar has written in his will that.
“I am currently completely physically and mentally healthy and am the owner of all my movable and immovable property. After my death, my share of land will be in the name of DM Agra.
On this decision of Ganesh Shankar, Agra City Magistrate Pratipal Chauhan said that he has received the will. Elderly Ganesh Shankar Pandey has given all his property in the name of the District Officer. The land he has shown in the name of DM of Agra is worth about Rs 3 crore. According to Pratipal Chauhan, a copy of the will is also with his brothers, and the brothers have no objection to this decision of Ganesh Shankar.
