‘Administration is responsible.’
Area MLA Kiran Choudhary has blamed the district administration for the accident. Talking to Indian Express, he said,
“We do not know how many people are buried. It is feared that many people have lost their lives. Under the order of NGT, mining is prohibited in this area. Mining is being done keeping all the rules and regulations in mind. All the responsibility lies with the administration. The officers reached the spot not long after the accident. The rescue work was started very late.”
According to the report of Pawan Rathi, Haryana Agriculture Minister JP Dalal and Bhiwani SP Ajit Singh Shekhawat reached the spot after the accident. JP Dalal told the media,
“It is not yet clear how many people are trapped under the debris. Some people have lost their lives. Three people have been admitted to the hospital. I have asked the administration to get people out of the rubble at the earliest through the use of machinery.”
Mining was closed for a long time.
According to the report, many heavy machines used in mining have also been buried due to the cracking of the mountain. Police officers are present at the spot, and rescue work is on. Mining was closed in this area for almost two months. Mining was resumed a day earlier.
Mining has been taking place on a large scale in the Dadam of Tosham area since long ago. This mining operation was banned two months ago due to air pollution in Delhi NCR. Two days ago, the NGT had permitted to start mining again. Due to the closure of mining work for two months, there was a shortage of building materials. It is being told that to meet this shortcoming, explosions were done on a large scale, due to which the mountain suddenly cracked.
