Rainwater and debris have flooded the surrounding area, including the temple premises. People living in the temple have fled to safer places here and there. It is raining continuously in the Dham. Due to the non-construction of the water diversion drain in the upper hill, the river drains are in spate.

It is raining heavily in the world-famous Madmaheshwar Dham by the name of second Kedar. Dham’s river drains are in spate due to rain. Rainwater and debris have filled the temple. The temple courtyard is also filled with rubble. The strong current of rivers and streams has flowed in front of the temple.
The temple complex is lying vacant due to rain. The rainwater is coming directly towards the temple from the budgies of Madmaheshwar Dham. Due to which the debris and water of the forest have entered the temple. Rainwater and debris have entered the surrounding areas, including the temple premises. The genera, which came in spate from the temple premises, flows, and the temple complex looks deserted amidst the rain.
Problems due to lack of water diversion drain
District Panchayat member Vinod Rana said that the situation remains dire due to the non-construction of the water diversion drain in the upper hill of Madmaheshwar Dham. Rainwater coming directly into the temple is creating an atmosphere of chaos. He has demanded the early administration to construct a Jal Mod drain for the safety of Madmaheshwar Dham.
