The story of IAS Pratibha Verma is a perfect example of overcoming obstacles in life. Pratibha, who hails from the small town of Sultanpur in the state of Uttar Pradesh, did not give up even in the most challenging circumstances and got success in the Civil Services Examination. She managed to secure All India 3rd rank in UPSC Exam 2019. This success was a long and troublesome journey for Pratibha as she often fell ill during her preparation.
Meet IAS Pratibha Verma
Pratibha first became an engineer, then an IRS officer and later an IAS. The biggest obstacle was through the Hindi medium, but she did not let the medium become a hindrance to her destination. After passing 10th from UP Board and 12th from CBSE board, she moved to Delhi to complete her B.Tech from IIT Delhi.
Pratibha completed her B.Tech in 2014 and immediately got a job in a well-paid telecom company. After working there for two years, he quit his job and prepared for the UPSC exam. After leaving the job in 2016, Pratibha prepared for UPSC exams by staying away from Delhi. Pratibha failed in her first attempt, secured 489th rank in the second attempt, and was selected for IRS.
Even though she had become an IRS officer, her aim was IAS. She kept preparing for it, and in her third attempt in 2019, she managed to become an IAS officer by securing the third rank in the UPSC exam. However, Pratibha had several health problems. He got dengue in 2018, and then in 2019; he got typhoid. Due to all this, it was becoming difficult to concentrate on his studies and interviews.
After her interview was postponed for two months due to the Coronavirus, she did power yoga and meditation and took special care of her food, after which she got better. Pratibha’s mother, Usha, teaches in Verma Primary School, while her father, Sudansh Verma, teaches in Higher Secondary School. Pratibha’s elder brother does a private job, and his younger brother has done B.Tech. At the same time, his sister is a doctor.
