IG Laxmi Singh’s big statement has come on the Lakhimpur Kheri incident. He has said that the search is on for Ashish Mishra, son of Minister of State for Home Ajay Mishra, and he will be arrested. Laxmi Singh’s statement also indicates that the police do not know where Ashish Mishra is at present. Until a few days ago, Ashish came in front of the media and continuously gave interviews in his clarification.
On Sunday, the farmers protesting in Lakhimpur were crushed by the car, in which four farmers died. Four other people were killed in the same incident. Out of which, two were BJP workers, a driver and a journalist. Since Sunday, many videos of the case have come to the fore. But till now, no one has been questioned nor arrested. The UP Police was also on the target of opposition parties regarding this.
FIR registered against Ashish Mishra
An FIR has been registered against Ashish Mishra, son of Union Minister of State for Home Ajay Mishra. Jagjit Singh of Bahraich has lodged this FIR. It is written in it that Ashish had crushed the farmers with his car and also fired.
However, in a conversation with the media, Ashish Mishra said he was not aware of the FIR being registered as no police officer approached him for questioning. After this, there was also news on Wednesday that Ashish might surrender soon, but so far, this has not happened.
