Jamtara Boat Accident: About 20 to 25 people went missing yesterday after their boat capsized in the Barakar river of Jamtara. A joint team of Jamtara and Dhanbad district administrations has been formed under the leadership of Jamtara Deputy Commissioner Faiz Al Ahmed for the investigation.
This team includes Jamtara’s SP, Nirsa’s SDPO, Jamtara SDM and others. In the night itself, the group of NDRF reached Virgaon Shyampur Ghat in Deoghar and started the search for the missing people. However, the investigation could not be carried out smoothly for a long time due to night rain. After which, this morning again, the team of District Administration, DVC Maithon and NDRF are engaged in searching the missing people in the entire river with 20 boats and boats.
Jamtara Boat Accident Update
For this, the cooperation of local boat drivers and fishers is also being taken. People are also searching by putting fishnet. According to the information, getting one or two bikes submerged in the river is coming to the fore. However, the administration has not yet officially confirmed this. Thousands of people have gathered on both sides of the river. But even after 18 hours, no one could be traced, due to which there is huge resentment among the local people.
The diving team is divided into four parts.
Apart from NDRF, four teams have also been made for Jharkhand-Bengal divers. Former MLA Arup Chatterjee JMM leader Ashok Mandal are camping with their workers.
Nirsa SDPO SHO was also included in the joint team.
In the joint team, SDPO Pitamber Singh Kharwar, Nirsa SHO Dilip Yadav, Nirsa CO Nitin Shivam Gupta are roaming on the beach with divers in the river.
