Jaunpur Goods Train Derailed: 21 bogies of a goods train going from Sultanpur to Pandit Deendayal Upadhyay Junction (Mughalsarai) derailed near Sri Krishna Nagar railway station on Sultanpur-Varanasi railway section of Northern Railway on Thursday morning. However, there was no loss of life and property in this accident. According to the railways, the Jaunpur-Varanasi rail route has been disrupted due to the overturning of bogies. Trains on this route have been parked at various places.
Jaunpur Goods Train Derailed
According to station superintendent Manoj Kumar Yadav, the goods train left Sultanpur at 06:58 in the morning to bring coal from Mughalsarai. There were 59 bogies in the goods train. The goods train had reached near Udaipur Ghatampur at 07:58 am after crossing the Sri Krishna Nagar railway crossing. Meanwhile, suddenly some bogies derailed.
Railway Path Inspector (Jaunpur) Brijesh Yadav said that due to the incident, the operation of trains on Varanasi-Lucknow via Zafarabad railway line has come to a standstill. The information of the incident has been given to the higher officials of the Lucknow Division of Northern Railway. Local railway officials have rushed to the spot.
A broken track is said to be the reason for the accident.
The reason for the accident is being told to the broken track. According to the information, the way was broken, due to which the wagons of the goods train derailed. However, officials say that the matter is under investigation, action will be taken if negligence is found. The work of opening this railway has also been started. A large railway crane has reached the spot and is engaged in removing the damaged coach from the tracks.
